The Montreal LinkedIn Meet Up was a Smash Hit!
The day was the 8th of February, the event was #MTLLinkedinmeetup. Going into 2018, our business strategy meant putting ourselves out in the open. For us, this meant not only photographing events but also using platforms to meet and engage with people. Being part of the largest LinkedIn meet up in history far exceeded our aspirations.
With the continual rise of social media, the interest for headshots is our most popular request. So, we dive deep into the art and science of the headshot, researching what separates the good from the great. In selecting events to showcase our skills we chose to connect with people that have similar interests for sharpness, professionalism and, quality. The #MTLLinkedInMeetUp fit the criteria and with Berel Solomon as the event organizer, it was guaranteed to be a success.
We contacted Berel, pitched our ideas and sealed the deal. Meeting Berel outside of our in-mails was quite the experience as he is one of the rare people that is as extravagant, professional and knowledgeable in person as he is online. So we knew we needed to nail the technical aspect to please the crowd with the value he wanted to deliver. We were up to the task, and started with a site visit weeks before the event, tested multiple lighting setups in order to find out what works best for the room and called in resident professional model Maria to help pose our clients. And brought in the crowd control expert Olivia to manage the direction of people through the process.
The Meet-Up was a massive success on many levels. With over one thousand tickets sold. The atmosphere was welcoming and the energy in the venue was noticeably felt as drinks, photos, laughs and networking were happening at every corner of the room. Our set up revolved around our clients where we had the opportunity to interact as they were filling out their paperwork or waiting for their turn to shine on camera. A clear goal was to make sure that everyone who had a shot was happy. So we had him or her review their pictures with us on screen for their ultimate seal of approval. Their faces said it all. Seeing plenty of big smiles was a rewarding experience. Given the fast pace, we surprisingly met everyone with multiple shots and poses personalized to suit each person’s best angle.
It was a great time covering this event and we could not be more thankful for all the people we met, shots we took and the true partnership we felt with Wealthy and Linked In. We are grateful for Berel believing in us to the get the job done-right on such a special event. We sincerely hope you guys enjoy your photos!
